Have YOU gotten Mac disks on work on a Sun 3/50?

Has anyone successfully taken a Macintosh SCSI drive and put it on a Sun
3/50? My understanding is that 3/50's use a shoebox drive which is ESDI,
with an Adaptec SCSI to ESDI adaptor, and that straight SCSI drives just
don't work. I would be delighted to hear the contrary.

(I've also heard that Macintosh SCSI isn't quite standard, at least from
CDC's point of view: the MacWren has one wire cut in a standard Wren
drive.)
