A FEW QUESTIONS

Our System: 

We have PC's connected to our Sun Network via PC-NFS over ethernet.  The
PC's are served by a Sun 3/180 while the Workstations are served by a Sun
4/280.  The Sun 4/280 also serves as a timeshare machine.  All of our
printers, modems, terminals are connected via 2 alms on the 4/280.  We
have a few minor problems /questions that I would like input on.  Please
send mail to me, if there is enough interest, I will summarize to
sunspots.

Does anyone have a printcap entry for a Star SD-15 in IBM Proprinter Mode.
Physics students use an applications program on the PC's called MathCad.
Many times we have to reset the printer because the program does not and
text that follows is garbled.  Is there any way to force a reset of some
sort before each job?  (What control character sequence would I need to
send?)

Does anyone have a printcap entries for a Printronix MVP in Normal and
Epson modes?

Does anybody have a termcap entry for an Ampex 219 in Ampex mode?

If text output is sent to our Apple LaserWriter Plus right after other
text, the first output prints ok but the second output ends up in the
upper left hand corner of the page and is a 3/4" high.  Users say they
can't read this so they print it again and we end up wasting alot of
paper.  Usually when text follows a job printed by an applications
program, the output is not shrunk.  I assume it is a reset problem.  Note
that we are not using Adobe's software and would appreciate a fix that is
something other than "buy the Adobe software".
