Printer information for Sun SparcStations

I'm going to be purchasing a Sun SparcStation for our methodology center
here.  One of the issues I'm still trying to decide is what kind of a
printer would be the best to attach. We'd initially planned on an Apple
Laserwriter, However, some of the equipment nearby is HP Series II
laserwriters. Can anyone tell me a.) if this is a workable solution as
well; b.) if it is absolutely necessary to have post-script on the Series
II; c.) if there are any cost-effective ways of putting postscript on an
HP Series II?  Any experiences people would care to share would be
appreciated- we're just starting up here.  Post here or to me directly
