SCSI terminators on SPARCStations

Does anyone out there know the true deal about the SCSI bus termination on
the SPARCStations (1 and 300 series, at least)?  Is Sun going to produce
an external terminator?  Are the machines shipped with an internal bus
terminator?  Should this be removed when peripherals are added?
