archive of 8mm experiences?

If anyone has saved an archive of postings concerning experiences with
8mm tape drives on Sun3's, please send me mail to ckk at andrew.cmu.edu. 
Please don't reply to the net.

We are thinking of buying an 8mm drive to attach to a sun3/160 for
backups. This machine is serving as a fileserver for our "cell" of the
Andrew filesystem, and also backups Macintoshes in the department.

I copied the relevant postings that I found in a perusal of recent
activity on comp.sys.sun but our system's netnews feed is rather
unreliable and we miss a lot of articles.
