Exabyte tape oxidation problem ??

We keep a single tape in our Exabyte for a month at a time, dumping 15
machines to it each night.  I have never seen a tape failure occur, and
we've been doing this for over a year now.  The only problems I have seen
are rsh hanging after a particularly large dump.
