3/80 diskless boot, new user

I just received my 3/80 last week. I was told by the Sun sales rep that I
did *not* need a tape drive, since we had a 3/60 downstairs with one. I
deeply regret not buying that tape unit! The rep said 'loading your OS
over the net is *NO PROBLEM*! He forgot to mention all the little things
like having to run 4.0.3 on both the tapehost and remotehost. After
getting past that point, I now get the first part of the download, and
then die. I get as far as loading 129k from the tftp server, my ip address
pops up, and then things just go phhhfffffft. Sun has not been that
helpful. Yeah, I know, call 1800usa4sun and wait 4 days to get a reply.
The first guy I got told me I had to buy the 3/x specifics for our 3/60. I
couldn't use the install tapes that came with my 3/80. BTW, I have 2
104mb SCSI hard disks in the 3/80.

Can anyone offer some help? I am a new Sun user, and NOT a UNIX guru, so
I am beginning to drown! I have had my box for over a week now, and I
would like to begin using it! I am beginning to think the easiest thing
to do would be to buy one of those old SCSI to new SCSI adapters and steal
the shoebo x from the 3/60 long enough to get me up!

Thanks,
