|1. How many terminals (plain terminals like vt100 or tvi950 as well as Sun
|graphics terminals) can be directly connected to the Sparkstation 1?

The SPARCstation 1 has two RS-232 ports. I believe there's an S-bus board
available from Sun with four more. Or you could buy Uninet's nifty SCSI
serial box. Or you could buy a terminal server. What do you mean by Sun
graphic terminals?

|2. How many people get onto the machine at the same time without any
|noticeable decline in speed and performance?

Depends upon what they're doing, of course. With enough memory, you
should be able to support several folks banging away pretty hard. If
they're mainly reading mail and staring at prompts, several more.

|3. Can this machine support up to 2 gigabytes of hard disk space?

Sure. Hang some big Wrens (-6s and -7s) on the SCSI bus.

|4. Is there a way that the machine can be connected to the Internet using
|high-speed modems so that we can use ftp and telnet in their full
|functionality?

Sure. I'm doing SLIP with mine right now. With a pair of Trailblazers
and the new compressed-header SLIP on both ends, things are reported to be
pretty pleasant. Not as nice as real T1 connectivity, but adequate.
