SLC scsi disk problem

I had a similar peoblem with my SLC.  I have a Fujitsu M2263S 670 MB
drive.  I would get the occational SCSI reset.  No probem since things
seemd to run normaly after that.  Then I tried to dump my file system to
tape.  No good!  When the tape drive sees the SCSI reset it unloads and
rewinds the tape!  This would not do!  After much adjustment of jumpers, I
narrowed the problem to the Read-Ahead Cache feature on my drive.  Since
disabling this feature, my drive has not timed out once.  I hope this is
useful.
