Infinite File Systems (e.g. Epoch, R Squared)

Epoch and R Squared offer different approaches to the implementation of
"infinite" file systems. Epoch produces a complete file server with an
optical "jukebox" that manages storage, backup etc. R Squared has a
package of a "jukebox" bundled with software that is added to your Sun
file server to give your server much the same capability at a lower cost.
Epoch also has their "Renaissance" software which is added to each
diskfull system to provide network file management services.

Does anyone have experience with either or both of these systems? How
well do they work? Are there any "gotchas" to look out for? Are there
other similar systems on the market?

If there are sufficient replies to my mailbox, I will post a
synopsis to the newsgroup.

Thanks
