sunview & system messages

	When suntools is called, there is a gap between when the background is
put up and when the /dev/console window is enabled for system messages.  If 
there are any messages to /dev/console during this perion, they are displayed 
against the background and do NOT clear in spite of various appropriate windows
being opened and superimposed and refresh running.  Any suggestions as to how
I might clear these irritating messages without exiting and restarting suntools?
