Disclaimer = Standard + Joke

First let me apologise to all those expectant readers who mailed me at the
end of last year asking for the answer to the problem of those disturbing
reflections on Sun screens. [long excuse deleted.]

Finally I have obtained a satisfactory solution from Sun-Flex (20 Pimentel
Court Novato, California, USA 94949 Telephone +1 415 883 1221) who make a
fine mesh that fits behind the bezel of the monitor. It really reduces
reflections and only seems to have one potential problem - getting dirty
from sticky fingers. The mesh reduces light transmission by about 40%, so
compensating by increasing the brilliance can also reduce the image
sharpness (ah well nothing's perfect).

I have also looked at clip on and hang down type glass filters, they are
easier to clean but very ineffective in reducing reflections (some
actually create new ones!).

BTW Sun-Flex in my corner of Europe are *slow*
