The reason for posting was that the best answer anyone could come up
with at IBM was to reformat the SCSI. I was hoping to find an answer
which didn't involve reformatting the SCSI or booting VRM. Some
problems require solutions which don't involve tossing users off of
an RT for an hour or four to reformat and reorganize a disk.

I have since managed to get the SCSI to work by removing minidisks from
my three internal drives and recreating them with different IODNs.
Interesting sidebar - you can remove a minidisk and recreate it with
a different IODN without losing the contents if you very very carefully
use the same identical parameters as it was created with. I had this
same exact problem when I added inherited my last ESDI disk ...

I have been told there is an IODN changing program on a VRM diagnostic
diskette. You should probably use that instead of juggling minidisk
partitions like I do.

Oh yeh, I don't speak for IBM.
