FILE AN APAR !  The only way we can add support for different modems
is if customers complain that it isn't there.  I just looked through
the getty code and it wouldn't be that difficult to add support for
more modems.  If only someone would tell us which ones they'd like
supported.  As far as the X.25 problem is concerned, it looks like
just a plain face bug.  File an APAR.
