Certainly true.  The announcement is rumored to be upcoming at
the
the UniForum in a couple/few weeks  (of the 3000UX, that is).  
The price before that time would at best be unofficial, and thus
bad policy to state publicly.  It would be kind of silly to
announce the announcement, kind of defeats the purpose.
