BRU, now do you use it?

I need a little help here.  I looked through the manual and the little sheet
about bru and the online help.  I can't seem to be able to transfer source 
files from the AmigaDOS side to the UNIX side.  Can someone show me the 
proper procedure to do this?  I thought I did it right from looking at the
docs, but it doesn't seem to work.
