A german company, supported directly from our office, has ported
Motif (1.1). It was actually shown on Amiga UNIX at the Systec and
Orgatec shows '90, and on CeBIT '91. This does not indicate that
Commodore plans to bundle/sell this or any other ports of Motif
which I could announce here. What I would *like* to tell you,
though, is:

Given that Amiga UNIX 1.1 comes with X11R3, it has not been all
that easy. In fact, this company also ported X11R4 libraries (not
the server) because that is what Motif 1.1 needs.

Apart from this extra work, a few bugs had to be found & fixed.
One of them being that (at least in their version of) the Motif
1.1 source treats short's as 32-bits, which may be the case on
OSF's reference machines, but is not on Amiga UNIX and many others.
Quite a nasty one.

It hasn't been their top priority project but judging from their
experience I would say it equivalents to some months of man-spare-
hours for you.
