1.4 meg drive as B drive on SysV/AT

Much to my surprise (;-), 2.4 fixes all the panic problems I had
with 2.3. I can now print out a double using sdb without the world
coming to an end. I know there is still brain damage there, but my
code doesn't seem to fall into it.

Anyway, I have a 1.44 drive attached to my clone system as drive B.
Does anyone know how to get it to work? Specifically, I need to know
the appropriate major/minor numbers for this device which, while documented
for drive A, are not documented for drive B. Experimentation produced
a zombie on one console.

Unrelated -- THe newer Dos Merge also seems much better, but still
too flaky for me to use every day, unless I run my machine at 6 megahertz,
as opposed to 10. Then everything seems to be alright. Does anyone
have a clue as to why the higher speed causes problems, and why it
doesn't cause problems with regular System V/AT?

Thanks in advance,

Robert White

p.s. Glad to hear that Microport has been purchased and might now go
somewhere.
