V/AT 286 help with vi and jove

I had those problems with Jove and V/AT 2.3.  When I upgraded to 2.4 the word
problem disappered (as did the random characters), but when I delete a line
another (random? I'm not sure) line disappears from the screen.  It's still
in the file (if I do ESC-CTL_L it reappears).

I suspect either the ANSI terminfo file for the console is screwed-up or
(more likely) there are bugs inside the console driver itself with respect
to ANSI sequence handling.  I made a "dumb" ANSI terminfo (based on the
Berkeley termcap entry for ANSI terminals with "pessimistic" assumptions)
that seemed to work okay.

BTW, I'm using Jove 4.14.
