Problem with CVS1.2 and symbolic links

Again I what to use CVS1.2 but I see a problem using CVS1.2 on a
directorystructure containing symbolic links within the directorytree.
In the example modules-file I found an entry "make-links" near the
label "sys". If I am write when I say, that before I checkin a complete
direktorystructur into the CVS-database, I have to grep out all
symbolic links, safe these data in a special file and restore these
links after checkout? When there is anybody outside who has solved
this problem, please let me know your solution.
