Cheap Unix

I would like to get a hold of an inexpensive machine to run Unix on at home.
4.2 or 4.3 BSD would be nice since that's what I have at work on the Sun.
It would also be nice if an X window server and client existed for the machine
as well, but this is secondary.

My thinking is that an 80286 machine and Xenix is the cheapest way to go
but I don't know a lot about Unix on microcomputer class hardware. Is there
a better or cheaper way to go?
