I have found that the MS-DOS version of "tar" running under ODT-DOS (DOS
Merge) can back up my DOS partition ( "E:" ). The version of tar used is
"pax", v1.2, written by Mark Colburn. The syntax is:

E>tar cvf c:\dev\rct0 *.*

The resulting tape is readable using SCO UNIX tar, which is a nice feature
when running a system with two OS's trying to coexist.

Hardware is an Archive 2150S connected to an Adaptec 1542B which also
runs the SCSI HD.
