corruption of /usr/adm/wtmp

Has anyone out in netland experienced curruption of the wtmp file on systems
running Ultrix?  Ultrix v1.2 - v2.3 and posibly beyond has this problem.
Systems here at BBN have experienced this and we suspect DECNET as the
culprit but can't actually prove it.

This problem has been reported to DEC by us a couple of times without any
positive results.  They claim they can't reproduce the problem, therefore
there is no problem.

Anybody seen this?  Please send e-mail directly to me and I'll summerize
latter.
