As author of Unger's mail-sending program, I protest!  The blank lines are
added elsewhere, presumabally when it is relayed at SRI-UNIX.  The only
thing it adds are six dashes to indicate the end of the message.  I don't
like the added whitespace, either......  I suppose it was put in so that
users of hardcopy terminals will have the paper spaced up for them; but I
think that should be a function of the mail-READING program, not the mail
sender program.  The recent comments about how much a program should do
for you behind your back apply......
