I heard a bunch of talk about UNIX 3.0 on the Vax, but it might be
enlightening if someone who is familiar with 3.0 could present some
advantages of running it rather than 3.0.

>From what I've heard, 3.0 seems like an effort to "commercialize" Unix
across many machines, but it seems to me that for educational
institutions, Berkeley Unix is the clear choice and will remain so.
(I say this not from experience, but rather from the observation that
most people appear to be planning to stay with 4.xbsd).

Is it true that 3.0 and 4.0 do not page? This would seem like a terrible
drawback to me. Does Bell plan to incorporate paging in the future?

OOPS--Line three should read "....rather than Berkeley Unix?"
