My vax 11/780 running 4.2 bsd is regularly putting out inode table overflow messages, but pstat reports less than half of the inodes in use. Has anyone seen the problem before (and hopefully solved it)? Could there be a problem with the inode table hashing algorithm? Any pointers welcome.
