ADD-PAC RLL CONTROLLER DRIVER

On my SCO Xenix 2.2.1 I286 system (an IBM PC286) my filesystems
reside on the 80Mb harddisk on the main controller.
For ms/dos files I use a Tandon Ad-Pac wich has it own (RLL) controller
card.
Because I thought it would be usefull to use some of these removable 
Add-Pacs for xenix I tried to get hold of either technical specs on the 
RLL controller or a device-driver.
The only driver I got for this controller was a I386 driver wich Tandon NL
could supply. I was told that there is no I286 driver available.

Is there anybody out there who has:

1) an I286 version of the RLL controller drivers
2) any technical information on this controller
3) experience using the I386 version of the controller
4) any other solution wich doesn't involve either buying 
   new hardware or discarding of the hardware I currently use.
