This is a summary of responses to my question regarding
removing a user permanently from our new Altos 5000 system.

I received two solutions by e-mail. Both solutions were
essentially identical, and both worked. One was sent by
louisi at sco.com, and the other by {uunet}!mkcgad1!drot-a!master.
A humorous post (well received) by nelson at sun.soe.clarkson.edu
helped keep things in perspective.

Here is a summary of the suggestions:

1. acquire SLS unx223, and ODT update E
2. go to single user mode,
3. edit files /etc/passwd, /etc/group (I was overlooking that one),
(better make copies of everything first)
	 remove file /tcb/files/X/Xxxx (as appropriate)
4. Use /tcb/bin/auth -s to check things, and reply "yes" to
its offer to fix things up
5. Bring things back up to multiuser

6. plan to acquire SLS unx257 in January.

My hearty thanks to all!

Uh, while we're at it, any suggestions on CREATING
300 users at one time ?
