SCO Xenix documentation for tar claims
If the entry corresponds to a link, then linkname contains
the pathname of the file to which this entry is linked and
linkflag gives a count of the links.
This appears to be incorrect. A file with 1 link is recorded
with linkflag = 0 and files with more than one link are recorded
with linkflag = '1' (ascii 1). Files with three, four, or more
links still have linkflag = '1'.
Am I just a poor confused historian, or is there some
significance to the fact that my documentation is dated April 1,
1987?
A new version of my version of tar (derived from GNU tar) to
read and write Xenix tar disks under MSDOS (without conversion)
is now available.
