Mousing around in Xenix

I have a Dell 386 which came with a mouse. Although this will be a Xenix
machine, I find that I have a free serial port. The mouse is a Logitech
(not a clone, even) and is on a serial port.

Does someone have any info as to how I read the port?? I assume that if
I know what baudrate to set, parity, bits, etc, that it will send a
character sequence for up, down, left, right, and button up/down as they
happen.

If it's that simeple can you tell me what it wants, or point me to a
source of the info? I can think of some interesting uses for the mouse,
not traditional, but interesting.

post if you wish, mail if you don't.
