SCO Xenix 'execseg()'?

I ran across the 'execseg' function call recently and have had no
success in getting a test to work. I am assuming that it allows
one to load code that was not originally linked in with your program.
If this is what it does then how do you prepare the code to be loaded?
Do you just produce an object or do you link it as absolute?
I would appreciate an explanation of what this does and a working
example of it if anyone has one available.
We are running SCO Xenix on the 286.
thanks
