Contiguous File System

We are seeking information on a problem relating to the Berkeley
Fast File System.
Because of disc fragmentation we were achieving only 40-50% of
the data transfer rate possible from disc. To overcome this
problem we have developed a Contiguous File System which
effectively increases the data transfer rate to 80-90% of maximum.
We think this may confer considerable benefits in a number of areas
and would appreciate information as to how it might help our
network colleagues.

Prompt replies would be appreciated - please mail direct.
