To the person wanting a system activity package...

[I would have mailed this, but (1) someone else on the net may be interested,
and (2) noise on my phone line caused rn to lose the original article so I
couldn't respond to it.]

I found myself in the same situation at my company, and ended writing my own
system activity package. One of the special features was the ability to out-
put its information as an ASCII graph which could be printed and, under some
circumstances, displayed on a terminal. I could upgrade this to system V (we
were running system III at the time) and add a hook to store its information
in a database. (UNIFY or Informix; I don't have available any other DBMS.
I can come up with something for Informix-SQL, but I don't have ESQL/C and I
don't particularly trust a hybrid procedural/non-procedural language anyway.)

Drop me a note if you're interested.

++Brandon
(P.S. Make sure you use the TDI address in my signature; ncoast where I read
news is a sys3 system and doesn't have my sources.)
