YASVB (Yet Another SunView Bug)

Is this anyway for Sunview to behave?

I open up a canvas window, and then click in it with the mouse button for
the first time. The mouse-button down event will not generate the expected
event code of 32544|45|46 (MS_LEFT,CENTER,RIGHT), but instead will give me
a 32519, which is LOC_RGNENTER. This only happens for the first mouse
button event, afterwards all is cool. But the user must always click the
mouse once at startup to get things to work right.

Anyone else have this problem and know how to get around it (is there some
way I can post a phoney mouse event to prime the system??).
