ciprico/hitachi connections

Help !  We just replaced our old Xylogics 451 controller on a Hitachi
DK815-10 (892 MB) drive with a Ciprico Rimfire and we're have problems
formatting the drive.  Has anyone set up a Ciprico/Hitachi combination and
could you tell me if there's any special steps (such as dip switches being
changed on the Hitachi) that we should know about.  Also, is the default
label that comes with rfutil for the Hitachi correct, or should we make
changes ?  Thanks in advance.
