MAIL,NFS

Here is an interesting problem which I have. I am not even
sure that it is possible to do this.

We have two clusters of machines: one cluster consists of two Sun 386i's
running SunOS 4.0, and the other is a set of nine DEC 5000/200 running
Ultrix 4.1. Each cluster is independent with its own yellow pages and its
own password files.
I want to keep both clusters with independent user accounts. That is,
each cluster would have its own password file. But, I want to merge
the mail. So if a person has an account on both clusters, he can get
mail on any machine.
Now, as far as I can tell, I can put all the mail on one machine, and
then NFS mount the /usr/mail/spool directory. Will this work?

Thanks in advance for any help.
